30 May 2012 – CCF’s third successful Open Eco Homes eco-renovation event took place earlier this month. As part of this year’s event, 25 eco-friendly homes in Cambridge and the surrounding villages, ranging from Victorian eco-retrofits to 1960′s conversions and custom builds, opened their doors to the public for guided tours on two weekends.
There were 245 unique visitors to the 25 eco-homes and three information centres at Rampton Drift, Coton Village Hall and Gamlingay Ecohub over the two weekends, with a total of 517 visits (some people visiting more than one house). 182 of those people had not visited eco-homes before, so we are clearly reaching new audiences.
In addition, around 100 visitors attended the Eco Renovation Question Time launch event at The Centre at St Paul’s, hosted by Transition Cambridge in partnership with CCF.
