Mon 30 Mar 2026, 8:00pm – 9:30pm
Secondary students and sixth formers from schools across Cambridgeshire will fill Cambridge University’s famous Cambridge Union Debating Chamber to put questions and detailed proposals to a panel of MPs and Cambs County Councillors from the main political parties. The aim is to share concerns but also to have a positive, forward looking, discussion that seeks common ground. Adults are welcome to listen to the event from the public gallery.
Please note – 300 spaces are reserved for school pupils who don’t need to book to attend. Pupils are invited to submit questions and proposals that may be used on the evening – please use this form to submit questions and proposals and the organisers will get back to you if yours are chosen. An additional one hundred seats in the public gallery will be available to adults/the public, but need to be booked. Please book a free seat via the booking link from 16th Feb onwards.
‘Sharing the mic…’ is organised in partnership with the Cambridge Festival, Parkside Community College and Cambridge Carbon Footprint.
