Ramsey Repair Cafe

Ramsey Neighbourhoods Trust will be holding a Repair Café on 2^nd November 2024 from 10am – 1.45pm at the Pavilion in Ramsey, Ramsey Cricket Club, Cricketfield Lane, Ramsey, Cambs, PE26 1BG. Everyone is welcome – tea, coffee, soft drinks and cake will be available.

We will have experienced, volunteer repairers at the café who can help with: Sewing and mending clothes; general repairs like fixing remote controls, disk drives, petrol lawnmowers and strimmers, overheated processors, saucepan handles and more; mending clocks and watches; sharpening your blunt objects and mending ceramics. This is not an exhaustive list, so if you have something that needs fixing that’s not on here do get in touch – we are constantly updating our list of repairers and may still be able to help.

How to Book

We will have limited drop-in appointments on the day so strongly recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. To book in your repair, please email anna@ramseynt.org or call Ramsey Neighbourhoods Trust on 01487 814897 and we will send you a form, or you can collect a form from Ramsey library. So that repairers can prepare and be as effective as possible, please be as specific as you can about the nature of your repair on the form. Forms must be returned to us by email or to our office in Ramsey library by 16^th October.

Car parking is available at the venue, with two designated blue badge spaces. The Pavilion aims to be accessible to all, however, if you have any specific accessibility questions or concerns, please contact us in advance of the café date on the email or phone number above and we’d be very happy to discuss what you need.

Repairs are free, although donations are welcome, and all money raised will go to Ramsey Neighbourhoods Trust to directly support projects for local people. Our Repair Café will be run in partnership with Cambridge Carbon Footprint and insured by Zurich in line with the Cambridgeshire Repair Cafe Network insurance recommendations.
