Passports to our Flourishing World – a Parkside pupil led weekend of footprint advice, crafts, film and a Climate Fresk

Sat 29 Mar 2025, – Sun 30 Mar 2025, 11:00am – 4:30pm

Join pupils from Parkside Community College’s ‘Social Action Group’ and Comberton Village College on an interactive  journey to a world where the climate has stabilised and nature is restored.

The whole family is invited to apply for a special passport to join an immersive journey through a beautiful, restored world. You will travel through forests, lowlands, oceans, grasslands and urban settings. Along the way you will stop off at a range of Conversation Stations.

Our travel guides will help you assess your footprints, consider how to tread more lightly and explore your role in encouraging nature to thrive. Finally, you will be invited to consider how you will join hands to reach Destination Restoration.

In addition Comberton Village College will be hosting a Climate Fresk and there will be rolling  screenings of ‘Climate Anxiety’, a short film made by Cambridge Moviemakers. This is PG classified though we recommend it for secondary pupils and above.

Passports to our Flourishing World is part of the Cambridge Festival’s Family Weekend weekend at the New Museum Site, Bene’t St, Cambridge. Saturday 29th March, 11am – 4:30pm and Sunday 30th March, 12pm – 4:30pm (please note the later start on Sunday).

Organised in partnership with Cambridge Carbon Footprint, Cambridge City Council and Community Artist Hilary Cox Condron.

A free event, no booking required.
