Home batteries are improving fast and getting cheaper. They can cut electricity bills and carbon footprints by importing cheaper, low-carbon electricity, often at night, for use later or for trading.

Our speaker, Jordan Farley, is the Founder and CEO of Artisan Electrics in Sawston, who specialise in solar, battery and EV charging. He will explain and update us on developments and practicalities of domestic batteries, illustrated with slides and video of real-world examples. Jordan is an engaging and prolific YouTuber.

The talk will also include:

• Battery trends: prices, sodium batteries and plug-in batteries
• Battery synergies with PV, heat pumps and EVs (including ‘Vehicle-to-Home’)
• Other options like electricity trading and emergency power supply during power cuts

There will be plenty of time for questions.
