Tue 30 Jun 2026, 7:30pm – 8:30pm
This was a lively free on-line talk. Prepare to beat the heat this summer, along with and managing your home and personal conditions better.
Heatwaves are expected to become more frequent and extreme, reaching over 40°C most years in much of South & East England. Most of our homes, even modern ones, are poorly designed for this, which may cause extremely uncomfortable or even dangerous conditions indoors, especially for the young and the elderly.
Learn what you can do to stay cooler in a heatwave:
Welcome & Introduction – William Orme, Home Energy Officer at CCF
Shading and its Importance – Andrew Chalk, British Blind & Shutter Association
Q&A 1 with Nicole Dang, CCF Trustee
Ventilation, Insulation and Personal Cooling – Tom Bragg, Cambridge Carbon Footprint volunteer
