How do I make the most of data?

Below you will find a list of resources to help you both upload and access data to support community climate action.

Place-based Carbon Calculator
PBCC is a free tool which estimates the per-person carbon footprint for every Lower Super Output Area (LSOA) in England. LSOAs are small statistical areas with a population of about 1,500 – 3,000. It draws on a wide range of data and research to give a representative view of how carbon footprints vary across the country. PBCC is intended to help communities and policy makers understand where their carbon footprints come from and what we need to do to reduce them.

CAPE: Climate Action Plan Explorer
CAPE collects UK Council Climate Action Plans in a single database, alongside some data on area emissions estimates within the scope of influence of councils. It allows anyone to quickly and easily find out if their council has a plan, and put those plans into context.

Parish Online
Parish Online’s cloud services help Local Councils easily find, create and publish information. This makes councils more efficient and resilient, ultimately resulting in better services for the public.
