How to run an Imaginarium in Cambridgeshire Training (online)

Wed 12 Jun 2024, 2:00pm – 4:00pm

How can we create a Greener, Fairer and more connected future for Cambridgeshire, if we can’t even imagine it?

Imaginariums are pop up events that invite people to join in to cultivate their imaginations, a longing for something better and positive action. In them you might reimagine our homes, streets, and towns, how we travel, work and gather, how we build gentler, thriving and more connected communities with space for nature. They encourage ideas, conversations and inspiration from around the world, and invite visitors to be playful and imaginative whilst engaging with local organisations, researchers, creatives and campaigners to develop new ideas, networks, actionable skills and a broader vision for systemic change.

You are invited to join this free training with Cambridge Carbon Footprint’s Imaginarium Artist in Residence Hilary Cox Condron. Hilary will introduce participants to all aspects of running an Imaginarium.

Please sign up here. And have pen and some paper to hand when you join the training.

There will then be the option for a number of people to come along to Burwell Carnival on Sat 29th June where Hilary will be running an Imaginarium and try out the skills you have learnt supporting the facilitation on the day.  If you would like to do this, or if you have any other queries, please contact wendy.lansdown@cambridgeshire.gov.uk.

If you’d like to do a little background reading please see Hilary’s website here: https://www.hilarycoxcondron.co.uk/a-revolution-of-the-imagination and Cambridge Curiosity and Imagination’s pages on the recent An Imaginarium Takeover of King’s College Cambridge.
