Bring your broken household item and a skilled volunteer will help you fix it at the Histon and Impington Repair Cafe! We can take a wide variety of repairs including electrical and mechanical items, as well as textiles and clothing for sewing repair, and sharpening, gluing and woodwork repairs – almost anything you can carry, in fact. We like to show you how we do it, so that if it happens again, you might be able to do it yourself.
In addition to the usual repairs, if you have a computer still running Windows 10 and would like to discuss your options going forwards, we might be able to help, just get in touch via the booking form in the usual way #EndOf10
This community initiative, run by HI Sustainability jointly with Histon Baptist and St Andrew’s Histon Eco Church Groups, will be run on Saturday 18th April, from 2pm to 5pm. It is a free event, with donations welcome on the day.
Location: Histon Baptist Church, Station Road, Histon, CB24 9LQ
Booking: We recommend booking repairs in advance, but request that you submit only one booking per person. A link will be added to this page approximately 5 weeks before the event.
A cafe serving drinks and home-made cakes and other goodies will be available.
Cycle parking is available in front of the venue. The number 8 bus stops outside, and the guided bus is less than 10 minutes walk away. There is a car park adjacent and on street parking is also available. The venue is wheelchair accessible with disabled toilet facilities.
Our cafe is run in partnership with Cambridge Carbon Footprint and insured by Wessex Insurance. For more information on upcoming Repair Cafes in Cambridgeshire please visit: cambridgecarbonfootprint.org/repair-cafes
