Why recycle when you can repair? We’ll be joining repair groups around the world on 18th Oct, International Repair Day, to help fix people’s broken stuff and share repair skills.
Our Repair Café marking International Repair Day will be on the first floor in the Grand Arcade’s ‘Let’s Go Circular’ space.
Experienced Cambridge Repair Café volunteers will work together with volunteers from local company Xylem Water Solutions to help fix your broken and worn toys and gadgets, jewellery, clothes, electricals and all sorts of household items. We’ll do our best to fix your item but if we can’t, we’ll try and suggest a next step.
We strongly recommend booking your item in advance – this enables us to do background research and make sure we have the most appropriately skilled repairer working on your item. We’ll keep a few walk-in repair slots for the day, and will do our best to fit your item in if you are unable to book in advance.
Please book your item in to be repaired using the from HERE. The organisers will be back in touch with a time slot. Booking is recommended but you can walk in, but may have to wait.
This is a free event though donations to support further events are appreciated.
