We are delighted to be part of the line-up for Cambridge BID’s Summer in the Square which will be taking place in Station Square Cambridge on Wednesday afternoons 4.30pm-6.30pm in July. Enjoy live music from local bands, while you relax in deckchairs. Each week, local businesses and community groups will host interactive activities for all to enjoy—perfect for after-work relaxation or to pop in as you’re passing through.
On Wednesday 30th July the Cambridgeshire Repair Cafe Network will be joining Summer in the Square to run a “Cambridge Crotch Repair Skillshare”. Our experienced volunteer repairers will be on hand to help you fix your loved jeans that have been worn at the crotch by cycling. Get hands on preparing your jeans, ready for our volunteer repairers to sew for you. Learn how to do the fix or how to reinforce your jeans to prevent those awkward holes!
You can bring worn out trousers for us to fix together or just pop by to pick up some tips. We are happy to attempt to fix different types of trousers – please bring a suitable patch fabric if you can. Our volunteer repairers will help you get your trousers back into use. If you would like a professional repair, please use a professional repair service e.g. Golden Stitches on Mill Road.
There will also be a clothes swap running at the same time – so plenty of opportunity to refresh your wardrobe for the summer
