OK, so we can’t fix the economy…… but we can fix a host of other things at the St Ives Repair Cafe. The town will hold its next event on 28th September from 1-4 pm and and experienced volunteer repairers will do their best to save your broken items from landfill. We can help with sewing repairs, jewellery, ceramics, small household and electrical items, the list goes on. You will get the opportunity to watch the repairers in action and learn at the same time. Home made cake and tea/coffee are also on offer.
Repairs are free but donations are welcome; any money raised will be used to put on the next event. There is disabled access at the back of the church and plenty of car parking nearby. St Ives is easily reached using public transport, the bus stop for the guided bus is very close by.
Booking will open approximately one month before the event – just email stivesrepaircafe@gmail.com or leave a voicemail on 07737 014401. It is also possible to turn up on the day with your item which will then be assessed and allocated to a repairer with free time.
This event is run in partnership with Cambridge Carbon Footprint and is insured by Wessex Insurance.
