Sat 11 May 2024, 2:00pm – 5:00pm
Sustainable Shepreth are hosting a Repair Café and Swish (clothes exchange) event on Saturday 11th May in the Village Hall. We are offering repairs for electricals, electronics, mechanical, sewing and jewellery. The Repair Cafe runs 2-5pm and is fairly booked for electrical items but there’s plenty of slots for mechanical, wooden, jewellery and sewing repairs. To book an item in for repair please click .
If you are able to volunteer on the day please sign-up here and you can find out more about Sustainable Shepreth’s work by visiting their website.
How does a Repair Café work? If you have items that need mending, bring them along to our Repair Café. A free event where you can learn a little about your broken item while a volunteer repairer assesses it and, where possible, does a fix while you watch how it’s done! We will be using a booking system, but drop-ins may also be possible – more to come on this.
What is a Swish? It’s a clothes exchange! Do you have a wardrobe full of clothes but nothing you want to wear, time for a spring clear-out or a chance to find a new look, sustainably? To join in please bring along adults, children’s and baby clothes and accessories in good, clean condition. You can bring and take as much as you like, you don’t need to bring anything to take items away. Drop off your clothes from 1pm, the doors to the Swish will open at 2pm.
Tea and cake will be available! Cash donations would be very welcome!
