Histon and Impington Sustainability Group are delighted to be teaming up with Cambridge Carbon Footprint (CCF) to organise the village’s first Swish (clothes swapping party).
Feel you have nothing to wear despite a wardrobe stuffed with clothes? Want to exchange clothes that don’t fit for ones that do? Keen not to add to the fast fashion problem and your global footprint? If the answer is yes, then Histon’s first Swish is for you. We are taking women’s, men’s and children’s clothes, shoes and accessories. Bring along and take as much as you like. Items must be clean and in good condition. Whilst the team are sorting clothes you can enjoy homemade cake and catch up on other environmental activities.
The Histon Swish will launch the new Community Clothes Swap Programme which will support groups from around Cambridgeshire to run their own clothes swapping events. We are very grateful to South Cambridgeshire District Council for awarding Cambridge Carbon Footprint a Community Chest Grant to purchase the new portable Swish kit.
Please drop off your clothes at 11am for a Swish that will start at 11.45am and end at 1:15pm. Entry is free but donations are very welcome. If you have queries, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
