Role title: Fundraising Volunteer
Reporting to: Alana Sinclair, CCF Manager
Principle function: To raise funds for Cambridge Carbon Footprint.
Expenses: For travel etc, as necessary. Normally agreed in advance.
Location: At home, plus meetings with the fundraising team approximately monthly, various locations around Cambridge and/or by Skype.
Days and hours: Flexible but roughly 1-4 hours per week
Duration: On-going, with at least a 6 month commitment
Description of the Role: Depending on your skills and interests there are various ways you could volunteer with our fundraising team.   You could:

·      Identify and approach potential sponsors.

·      Research and maintain a database of grant opportunities.

·      Work with the management team to write grant applications.

·      Assist with operating our donor care programme.

·      Design/write fundraising communications.

·      Identify ways we can improve our fundraising.

·      Other fundraising initiatives.

With the money that our Fundraising Team brings in we are able to inspire people to engage with climate change and empower them, individually and within their communities, to move towards low carbon living. We have a great team, who are rewarding to work with.
Skills and/or qualifications and experience required: Good teamwork and communication skills are essential. Fundraising experience desirable, but we will also consider related skills and experience, such persuasive writing, sales, grant research, project planning etc.
Training required and support offered: CCF induction and training in systems.

Admin support from staff.

Support from other Fundraising Volunteers.
