Turn the hand dial to power the machine. Receive your prediction and make a promise for the future.
The Prediction Machine is an interactive artwork that marks moments of climate change in our everyday lives, based on end of the pier fortune telling machines, created by Rachel Jacobs in collaboration with local people, engineers, programmers and climate scientists. The Prediction Machine tracks local weather live at a weather station in Cambridge that is then combined with projected temperatures for the year 2045, it then prints out predictions based on this data yet written by local people. The Prediction Machine is touring the UK collecting predictions and memories about the weather and promises for the future.
