10 February 2018 - 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Histon is excited to be taking part in an inspirational festival of films called Films for Our Future and is showing the film ‘Demain’ (‘Tomorrow’) as part of it.
A French and English film (with subtitles), ‘Demain’ takes us around the world – from Iceland to India, Denmark to Detroit – to discover innovative and radical approaches, both grass-roots and government-led that are confronting some of the big environmental, social and economic challenges of our time. ‘Demain’ gives us a message of hope – and a host of hard questions too!
Following the film (hopefully inspired and enthused) you’ll have the opportunity to learn about groups on your doorstep, that may not have been aware of, who are already doing exciting, positive, sustainable work. There’ll be a chance to find out how you might get involved, should you wish to.
The wider season of films is organised by local groups including Transition Cambridge, Pivotal, Cambridge Carbon Footprint and many more. Screenings and events are all across Cambridge and surrounding villages. Full listings can be found here: https://www.transitioncambridge.org/wiki/FilmsForOurFuture/HomePage
Booking essential, please book below or call 01223 301842 to reserve a space. This is a free event but donations will be gratefully received.
Refreshments will be available to buy during the event- we hope to see you there!
