Cambridge Carbon Footprint are delighted to have been appointed to develop the Cambridge Climate Change Charter on behalf of the Cambridge City Council.
After declaring a climate emergency early in 2019, the City Council set an aspiration for Cambridge to reach ‘net zero’ by 2050. For this it recognises the vital role businesses, organisations and individuals across the city play to achieve the significant reductions required to reach net zero carbon as quickly as possible.
The Cambridge Climate Change Charter aims to encourage businesses, organisations and individuals to demonstrate their commitment to mitigating climate change and secure commitments to take action to reduce their carbon emissions.
Cambridge Carbon Footprint will be producing extensive online resources and training opportunities to help individuals, businesses and organisations to better understand their carbon footprint and take action to reduce it.
The charter will be available to the public in summer 2020.
