Wicken Fen and the Wicken Fen Vision

Talk and slide show by Chris Soans of the National Trust. Wicken Fen NNR is one of Europe’s most important wetland sites for biodiversity. Chris Soans will explain the Wicken Vision; a hundred year project to safeguard the existing biodiversity of the site, help the reserve adapt to climate change and develop as an example of best practice landscape scale sustainable conservation management. Will also discuss how the Vision could become a “Green Lung” for Cambridge, providing sustainable leisure and health opportunities.
