Over 200 people came on Nov 27th to hear & question the Cambridge politicians. The meetng was chaired by Sir David King (Chair) former Govt Chief Scientific Advisor, who gave a short talk.(See 3 minutes of Sir David’s introduction: www.youtube.com/watch?v=atXJffhrNik).
The panel were David Howarth, MP, Liberal Democrats, Dr Sarah El-Neil Conservative Party City Chair, Tony Juniper Green Party candidate, Daniel Zeichner Labour Party candidate
Thought-provoking debate followed, particularly about aviation and carbon trading, while the final question: “what risks would you take for climate change?” brought it back to the personal.
People were surprised how quickly an hour and a half went by and most stayed for informal discussions till we had to leave the hall, buzzing with ideas.
