Creative Communities

SONY DSCCreative Communities is a community wide multi-faith, multi-cultural event, which has been planned by an interfaith committee and will take place from 1.30pm – 4pm on Saturday 5 April in the Cambridge Community Circus hall at Citylife House, Sturton St, CB1 2QF. The event is designed to raise awareness about the link between faith communities and reduction of carbon emissions through sharing of resources and skills. We hope it will also provide an opportunity for different faiths to explore how their traditions offer alternatives to overconsumption of natural resources through food, travel and heating etc. It will be family-friendly and interactive, aiming to engage members of the Cambridge community of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds.

What to expect on the day:

  • Opening by Julian Huppert, MP for Cambridge
  • Hands on craft activities for children
  • Interactive music from local community groups
  • Free food
  • Stalls from organisations that facilitate shared community resources
