Starting from where we are now: Values, Identity and Campaigning

Are you keen to get a more diverse range of people involved in tackling climate change?

Shilpa Shah has bags of experience engaging and empowering people from diverse groups, and making sure their voices are heard by decision-makers.  She  co-founded and co-ordinated the original Akashi Project from 2006 – 2008, and now works as a campaigner in the Rights and Justice team at Friends of the Earth, as well as doing training on diversity for environmental groups.

We are delighted that she is leading the next CCF Communication Workshop, called Starting from where we are now:  Values, Identity and Campaigning. In it we will explore effective ways of organising, starting with people’s actual concerns – their views, values and needs.

Where?  St Luke’s Centre, Victoria Rd, CB4 3ED
When?   Monday 26th April, 7.30 – 9.30 pm
Cost?   £10 for organisations, £5 for individuals, but FREE for all CCF volunteers and facilitators.

Please email info@cambridgecarbonfootprint.org to let us know you can come, (although it’s OK also to just turn up).  And please pass to anyone else who might be interested.

Looking forward to seeing you there.
