Plans and preparations to increase your supply of fresh seasonal produce in 2010. Subjects to be convered: seeds, soil, compost, rotations etc. It’s time for starting some seeds off under cover and last chance to plant fruit bushes. Also lots of time for questions and discussion.

In 2002 AC Architects took on he challenge of renovating the corner shop at the junction of Albert Street and Victoria Road as an exemplary low energy building for their own office use with residential accomodation above. This building visit allows you to see the results and listen to a talk on the project by Director, architect Anne Cooper.

Water: a practical workshop on conservation and sustainable drainage at home – Simon Bunn and Clare Palferman are Cambridge City Council’s Sustainable Drainage specialists and they will explain the best ways of making your home water-efficient. Rainwater harvesting, water butts, rain gardens and the law about paving over front gardens all covered.

This workshop will teach you a powerful technique for being more creative when thinking about how to reduce carbon emissions (or anything else). It will be run by creativity expert Anne Miller, Director of the Creativity Partnership. Participants are invited to discuss and build on a carbon reduction issue on which they would value creative ideas from the group.
Communication Workshops are free for anyone working for Cambridge Carbon Footprint as a volunteer. Others: individuals £5, organisations £10

Express your post-Copenhagen feelings through music. Music can help us access thoughts and feelings that are hard to put into words. The workshop will use a variety of instruments, voice and listening and you do not need any musical skill to participate.
Helen Odell-Miller is a music therapist and Professor of Music Therapy at Anglia Ruskin University.
