Audiences, messages and messengers: a communication workshop

29 September 2009
7:30 pmto9:30 pm

The first in our new Communicating Climate Change series — with Rosemary Randall, CCF’s director.

Understanding your audience, choosing the right messenger and making your message relevant are key to engaging people creatively in work on climate change.  We’ll look at what works and what doesn’t and practise ways of approaching diverse audiences.

If you are helping on stalls, facilitating ‘Carbon Conversations’ or having difficulty in discussing issues with friends or coleagues, this is a workshop for you!

For more details, please contact Karin at the office.

New members meeting

22 September 2009
7:30 pmto9:00 pm

Are you curious about the work of Cambridge Carbon Footprint? Would you like to get involved in encouraging carbon reduction in Cambridge? You are warmly invited to a new members meeting at Ross Street Community Centre. It is an opportunity to meet people, find out more about us, and find out which of our activities you would like to be involved in and contribute to, such as foot-printing, talks, stalls, groups, energy surveys, DIY group, Akashi, and behind the scenes stuff. All of these projects rely on our volunteers, and we would love to have your help!

Please email Karin at karin@cambridgecarbonfootprint.org if you need directions or have any queries.

Manchester Report ‘09

CCF goes international!

Rosemary Randall was invited to the Manchester International Fthe-manchester-report-500x333estival last weekend to present CCF’s work – we were one of 20 ideas (internationally!) selected to be presented as climate change solutions for the Manchester Report and (sadly) the only community level initiative chosen. The ‘report’ is in the Guardian (14/7/09) and on the Guardian Blogg.

Venue:  Ross Street Community Centre.  Please email karin@cambridgecarbonfootprint.org to book.
