Get involved
There are lots of ways to get involved.
Join a Carbon Conversations Group
Six fortnightly or monthly sessions, working out how to reduce your carbon footprint. The groups are led by people who have already completed a group and attended a facilitators’ session. Participants tell us the groups are supportive, entertaining and inspiring! More..
Some resources from the members handbook are available to download.
Sign up to our Low-carbon Network
Join the network – a medley of social meetings, seasonal meals and practical meetings on carbon-reduction. Particularly helpful in keeping your footprint in mind once you have completed a group.
Become a group facilitator
Complete aCarbon Conversations group, take part in our training and go on to run one of your own, with a co-facilitator, inspiring and involving others. You’re supported throughout with meetings with other facilitators and the group trainer.
Become a volunteer member
Help on our stalls, give presentations and talks, join the Akashi project or the House Doctor scheme, help organise the network, take a ‘behind the scenes’ role, create publicity, help with IT, fundraising or anything else: good ideas welcome! We run regular workshops and social events for volunteer members plus occasional meetings for chewing over where we should be going and what we should be doing.
