These are open to everyone who is interested and are advertised on our website. There are four main strands:
- food, through our Eating Local challenge and Grow Your Own workshops
- home energy, through our eco-renovations workshops and seminars
- waste (trips to recycling facilities, advanced recycling workshops)
- consumption (film shows and discussions, “swishing”, skills share days)
For some of these events you can just turn up; for others you need to book with the office.
As well as being very informative, these events are an opportunity to meet others and normally involve discussion as well as presentations.
Sometimes we have special outside speakers on different topics, such as campaigning on climate change.
In addition we hold an annual meeting for all our supporters at which we brainstorm our future direction.
