"We like walking to school with our mum. At school they said it's better for the environment than going in the car.
We also like it because our friends sometimes come with us and it's fun walking all together."

There are a number of ways you can be involved in the Akashi project and keep in touch with us.
The Akashi project meets with community and faith groups (via social gatherings at your church, mosque, college, village hall, community centre, youth club or even with a group of friends at a local café!) to discuss this very question.
We can run discussions and group activities that will help you to consider the future of our planet in a fun, interesting way, that is relevant to your lifestyle and values.
(Visit our contact page) if you would like us to visit you and run a session completely free of charge. If you meet regularly, we could come along to one of your meetings. Or we can help you to set up a meeting specifically about what climate change means to you.
Would you like to be added to a Cambridge Carbon footprint mailing list? You will get monthly emails from us keeping you informed of what we have been up to and of interesting events and news. There might even be a funny story or two and competitions to look forward to. Just send Shilpa an email (shilpa@cambridgecarbonfootprint.org) with ‘I’m a friend!’ in the subject line!
Would you like to become a volunteer? We need help to reach more people and to run activities and discussions about climate change. We also always need general administration support and help with graphic design. Even if you can spare just a couple of hours a week or would like a short-term volunteering project, please get in touch to discuss how you would like to help.
If you like the sound of our work and want to support us financially, all such offers are hugely appreciated. Please contact Shilpa to discuss further.
Check us out, become a friend of the project and leave us a comment and some of your own energy saving tips at www.myspace.com/theakashiproject
